Directions: Suiattle River expedition shuttles meet at the Sauk River Bridge boat ramp on the northwest corner of State Route 530 and the first (large, green metal) Sauk River Bridge crossing. Downtown Darrington is a gorgeous two-hour drive from downtown Seattle. At the corner of State Route 530/Mountain Loop Highway (near the Darrington Shell station) take a left. Note this is the Mountain Loop Highway (not the Cascade Loop) intersection in downtown Darrington. The Darrington Shell will be on the northeast corner of the intersection. The Sauk River Bridge boat ramp is about six or seven miles past this intersection after you have taken the left turn. Shuttles leave promptly at departure times. To reach Darrington, travel north from downtown Seattle on I-5. Turn east (right) at the State Route 530 Silvana/Arlington exit (exit 208). Follow State Route 530 through Arlington, past the Oso Shell station to Darrington. Shuttle departures leave from the Sauk River Bridge boatr ramp at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Please arrive 1/2 hour early.
